A sharp injury is a potential risk factor for occupational injury in medical care. Acupuncture injury from medical personnel is one of the routes of transmission of blood-borne diseases caused by occupational exposure. Therefore, management measures to improve injurious medical waste are particularly important.

The use of performance-safe weapon boxes is an effective measure to prevent and reduce sharp injuries. However, due to the control of medical costs, especially non-priced consumables and the weak occupational protection awareness of medical staff, the current sharp container has been widely used, but the placement of the sharp box is not proper in clinical work with poor visibility and improper height and uneasy connect, causing leakage of equipment, which will pollute the environment, increase infections. It is not only a safety device to prevent sharp injuries, but also a risk factor for weapon damage.

If the sharp container is placed too high, I can't see the entrance of the sharp container and the extent to which the sharp container is currently installed. Apart from these, it does not save effort, and can not guarantee the accurate investment of the sharp container, increasing environmental pollution and the risk of sharp stab wound.

If the sharp container is placed too low, especially on the ground, and it needs to be bent to operation. Because of the busy work and fast pace, it can not guarantee the accurate investment of the sharp weapon, resulting in environmental pollution, increasing the risk of sharp weapon stabbing. Frequent and excessive bending will consume physical strength and can easily cause lumbar muscle strain.

We placed the position of the Sharps Container Disposal in the treatment room from the ground to the upper left of the infusion set and the empty needle recovery box, which is convenient to put the long scalp needle hose into the sharp containers. The placement position of the lower-layer sharp container of the treatment vehicle is placed from the original rear row to the far right of the front row, which increases visibility and ease of connection, greatly reduces the risk of sharp weapon injury, reduces environmental pollution, and reduces the incidence of nosocomial infection.
